THE Dante String Quartet with Krysia Osostowicz and Oscar Perks on violin, Yuko Inoue on viola and cellist Richard Jenkinson gives the final concert in Bishop Auckland Music Society’s 2014 series in the Throne Room at Auckland Castle next Friday.

The quartet was formed in 1995 and took the name Dante to symbolise a challenging journey.

The four musicians perform widely throughout the UK and Europe, and since 2007 have been quartet in residence at King’s College, Cambridge.

They will perform Haydn’s Quartet in B minor, op 33 no. 1, Faure’s Quartet in E minor, op 121 and Schubert’s Quartet in D minor, D810 ‘Death and the Maiden.
