WITH league leaders Hawes United's match at Richmond Buck Inn last Saturday abandoned due to bad weather, and Unicorn's match at Spennithorne and Harmby postponed completely, Colburn Town moved to within a point of the top with a 4-1 victory at Richmond Town Academy. The match was effectively over by the break as goals from Tom Sweeney; his 28th of the season, Mickey Brend and Si McGuiness gave Colburn a 3-0 lead. In the final ten minutes, Ryan Howe pulled one back for the Academy but substitute Jamie Dempster, as he has done so often this season, came off the bench to add a fourth for Colburn.

Richmond Mavericks Reserves got their title bid back on track with an 8-2 win over struggling Carperby Rovers. Mickey Sartini and Dave Andrews were both on target inside the opening ten minutes while Phil Stirling and Lloyd Tate gave the Mavs and unassailable 4-0 lead. Kalem Stanger did score either side of the break for Rovers, but Andrews added his second before Tate scored twice more to complete his hat-trick and substitute Owen Kelly added an eighth.

Catterick Garrison Football Centre are now just four points off the top after a 3-0 win at Bedale Town Reserves. Daniel Deeney's early goal was all that separated the sides until the final five minutes when first Liam Walker and then Jez Mortimer finally sealed the points.

There was a big game at the foot of the table where Askrigg United moved off the bottom with a 2-1 win over Catterick Rovers. Both sides began the day with just three points to their name but it was Askrigg who took the spoils thanks to goals in either half from Ben Fawcett and Luke Smart. Rovers now replace them at the bottom of the table.
