SINNINGTON are the Beckett League First Division champions for the firsttime since season 1984-85.
On Saturday they entertained Duncombe Park and won 2-0. The opening goal arrived after 50 minutes when David Wilkinson scored and ten minutes from time Robbie Preston added a second.
The achievement was a bonus for player-manager Lee Mitchell and his elder brother Gary Mitchell who have been with the Sinners for 25 years.
