LEADERS Colburn Town moved three points clear at the top of the table following a 4-0 victory over visitors Reeth last Saturday.

Colburn were given the perfect start when Ben Hook turned home a low cross from Chris Gartside inside two minutes, but it looked like it could be a day of missed opportunities as both Mickey Brend and Stu Murray failed to score from the penalty spot before the break. However, Adam Palmer did find the net within three minutes of the restart to ease theColburn nerves, while a late brace from Murray sealed the points.

Richmond Buck Inn lost ground after a 5-0 home defeat against Hawes United.

Buck defender Danny Glue was sent off after justten minutes for a hand ball on the line and Lloyd Iveson scored from the spot. Steve Calvert and JonathonChampionmade it3- 0 by the break, while Ryan Richardson and Ashey Iveson completed the scoring in the second half.

Catterick Garrison Football Centre stretched their unbeaten league run to seven matches with a 5-1 home win against Redmire United. It may have been a different story had Stu Gall not missed an early penalty for the visitors, but Damian Hargreaves struck a hat-trick while Pete Hurry and Michael Birdsall were also on target as Catterick dominated. Matt Guy grabbed a Redmire consolation.

Richmond Mavericks Reserves are fifth after beating visitors Spennithorne and Harmby 2-1. A tight match was goalless at the break but the Mavericks scored twice in five minutes soon after the restart to take control. Dan Johnson scored the first with a close range header before Mickey Sartini made it 2-0 from the penalty spot after a foul on Scott Fenney. Spenni rallied with a strike from Martin Dixon and pressed for the equaliser in the closing stages, but the hosts held on for all three points.

Medals Shields winners Richmond Town Academy celebrated their success with a 19-0 thrashing of bottom side Hawes Gayle. Ben Holmes struck four times, while Josh Wooff, Sam Vernon, who had scored the cup final winner, and Bob Carr all scored hattricks. Gayle, who played with only eight men, were overwhelmed as Ross McGuigan scored twice, while George Battersby, Jay Muirhead, Craig Soulsby and James Donaldson completed the scoring.

Elsewhere, improving Askrigg United won 3-2 at Catterick Rovers. Chris Green and Connor Metcalfe were both on target for Rovers, but strikes from Martyn Alderson, Alan Middleton and Gary Cockerill won it for Askrigg, who move level on points with Rovers.
