Darlington defender Phil Gray is to join fellow Northern League side Norton & Stockton Ancients on loan for a month.
The left-back, the only player in the squad that was with the club last season, has not featured in either of Quakers' first two matches of the season with manager Martin Gray preferring summer signing Dan Smith.
Darlington play their third game of the season tomorrow at Consett where they will again be without the injured Danny Mellanby (ankle) and Dale Connor (ankle).
Reserve keeper Connor twisted his ankle during the warm-up before the first game of the season against Bishop Auckland last Saturday.
