Quakers to hold two fans forums

Darlington are to hold two supporters’ nights next week to make up for the disappointment of their last four matches being postponed.

Heavy snow and freezing temperatures put paid to home fixtures against Northampton Town, Lincoln City, Port Vale and the trip to Rotherham United.

The Fans’ Footy Nights will offer members of the Quakers faithful who’ve recently been starved of football an opportunity to quiz Darlington players, management and the board during the evenings to be held at The Northern Echo Arena.

General manager Phil Preston said: “The postponements have been hugely disappointing, this is an opportunity for our fans to get back into it.

“ F a n s nights are always popular events here and we are sure these will prove to be just as popular. They promise to be fun and fans will also get a chance to put questions to some of our players and as well as the manager and members of the board.’’ A limited number of tickets are available for the events, taking place on Wednesday, January 13 and Thursday 14, priced £5 which includes food, while all draught beers and lagers will be reduced to £2 a pint.

The nights kick-off at 7pm in the Ron Greener Suite.

Tickets are available from The Northern Echo Arena main reception, or by calling 01325 387000.

I am really sorry but I will have to give this "golden opportunity" a miss
I realise that I am going to miss out on all that "fun" but it cant be helped. Especially when I could have listened to the Board tell us how well things are going off the pitch and the Manager tell us how well we are doing in training. It was a difficult choice though. I am about to decorate and unfortunately I will be watching the paint dry on those two nights. Apologies to all those concerned
