Darlington's game at Heritage Park this afternoon against Prescot Cables is subject to a 1.15pm pitch inspection.

The pitch passed an 8.45 inspection this morning, but there remains ice on some areas of the playing surface and Quakers have appealed for volunteers to help.

Darlington are desperate for the game to get the go-ahead, not least because it offers an opportunity to for new signing Nathan Cartman to make his debut three days after joining from Harrogate RA.

Second-placed Quakers are already behind on their games having lost five matches to the weather this season, leaving them with four fixtures in hand on leaders Salford City and fellow promotion-chasers Northwich Victoria.
