Darlington announce season ticket prices
Darlington clinched the Northern League title yesterday, and they have now announced its ticket prices for 2013-14.
Season tickets for next season, which will be in the Evo-Stik First Division North, cost £225 for an adult seat in the main stand at Heritage Park.
While an increase of £1 on match day prices sees admission raised to £9. It will be £6 for concessions and £4 for a child.
The new pricing structure includes family season tickets (one adult and two children under 16) at a cost of £220. In addition, all season ticket holders will automatically become members of Darlington Football Club CIC.
Martin Jesper, chief executive officer at Darlington, said: "The pricing of the season tickets will naturally come under scrutiny, depending on individuals' personal needs, their expectations and situation, however we must not forget that the club is still rebuilding after a financially challenging first year off the pitch and also that Martin Gray's success on the pitch is likely to push up running costs next year.
"We need to be mindful of the financial implications of footballing success and we continue to work closely with Martin Gray to plan ahead in a sustainable and affordable manner."
The club has also announced that fans will be able to make payments for season tickets over a four-month period having teamed up with Zebra Finance.
The partnership offers the opportunity to pay by installments over four months and it is Quakers' commercial manager, Verony Chalmers, is responsible for teaming up with Zebra Finance.
She said: "This is a huge step forward in demonstrating the progress being made by the club to support Martin Gray.
"We recognise that many fans are simply unable to afford the one-off cost of a season ticket and this scheme will hopefully provide more football fans and families the opportunity to engage with the club and be part of the journey back through the leagues.
"These are truly exciting times for the football club, the fans and the community."
Application forms for season tickets, as well as the forms for Zebra funding, will be available at Wednesday's last game of the season against Guisborough Town.
They will also be made available at Quaker Retail and in downloadable format from the club's official website and social media feeds. Closing date for submission is July 14.
