Britain's Paul Standbridge, the new skipper of Toshiba, took third place by easing into the lead yesterday on the leg from Fremantle to Sydney. With all nine boats still tightly bunched yesterday evening, with less than 20 miles separating the entire fleet, Toshiba was holding on to a slender lead of 1.8 miles.
