Former left-wing Labour MP Robert Parry died early yesterday following a short illness. The former Member for Liverpool Riverside, who was 67, had been in the Royal Liverpool University Hospital for the past 10 days. Mr Parry, a diabetic, was an MP for 27 years before retiring at the last General Election following a stroke.
