Darlington’s match at Farsley is tomorrow is under threat and the host club have appealed for supporters to help clear snow in the morning.

Snowfall in the West Yorkshire area last night has resulted in a match at Farsley’s ground today, involving Albion Sports, being postponed.

Fans are asked to help clear snow at 9.15am tomorrow, and there shall be a pitch inspection if required at 10am.

A Farsley club statement read: “A number of club staff have been at the Nest all morning to ensure that the snow is cleared round the ground.

“There is a covering of snow on the pitch which we are hoping will melt thought the day and tomorrow morning. The club is making every effort to get tomorrow’s Evo-Stik fixture on against Darlington.

“We make a plea for supporters to come to the ground at 9.15am to help clear any remaining snow from round the ground.

“We will are planning on a pitch inspection at 10am if needed and will make further announcements tomorrow morning.

Darlington are bidding to extend their good run of form, yesterday’s 3-0 home win over Scarborough Athletic being their 14th consecutive undefeated league match.
