Bruno fits right in
The right-back slot is Bruno Pilatos' to lose, says Darlington manager Martin Gray.
After a couple of outings in midfield as a substitute, Pilatos made his full debut in Saturday's 2-0 win at Salford City and Gray was satisfied with the teenager's performance.
He said: "He's played for England under-16s, 17s and 18s as a right-back so he can definitely play there, no question. He can play anywhere, but he's played at international level as a right-back and I thought he was good today.
"He'll get bigger in time, he's a boy still, not a man, and he's got a very intelligent football brain. For his first full game I thought he had a smashing debut."
Pilatos left Middlesbrough this year and after a spell on trial joined Darlington this month at the same time as midfielder Curtis Edwards, another former Boro trainee.
Gray added: "Bruno passed to Chris Moore for the first goal and I was delighted with him.
"It's down to him now to keep his place. He's in the team, we've won, he'll start on Wednesday and he's got to continue to put in performances like that.
"Curtis had another good hour. He's energetic and used the ball well."
