Darlington head to Durham

Four of Darlington's new signings face their former club today when Quakers go to Durham City.

The game was arranged as part of the deal that saw twins Amar Purewal and Arjun Purewal move to Darlington in June.

Also having made the move are Gary Brown and David Dowson. All four were regulars for Durham last season in Division One of the Evo-Stik League - one above Quakers' current level.

Durham have now dropped down to the Ebac Northern League, so the sides will meet again next season at Heritage Park, in September.

Only Brown of the four featured in Thursday's 4-1 win at Richmond Town. He started in midfield alongside trialist Adrian Webster as Quakers recorded their fifth win from five during pre-season.

The game at New Ferens Park kick-off at 3pm with admission £6 and £3 concessions.

Quakers have three more friendlies - at Darlington RA on Tuesday before playing Gateshead at Heritage Park 24 hours later and at Seaham Red Star next Saturday.
