With only two games remaining, leaders Richmondshire hold a narrow four-point lead over Great Ayton.

The Dalesmen have been on an impressive run of form and are unbeaten since mid-June. They will not be holding back at Hornby Park, as the title race will ultimately go down to the last game of the season next Saturday.

Seaton Carew are now safe from relegation, after some dogged displays of late and the brilliant form of professional Usman Arshad. The home side will be without Stuart Lobb and Matthew Skirving for the game.

Great Ayton look to have the easiest game of the day, at home to relegated Norton.

They make one change from the side that beat Stokesley on Bank Holiday Monday. Michael Croft comes in for David Grainge and skipper Jon Grainge said: “We need to win our remaining two games to keep the pressure on Richmondshire, as the title race will go right up until the end of the season.”

Marton, in third, travel to Darlington and still have an outside chance of winning the league, but results have to go their way particularly at Hornby Park and Leven Park.

They will be unchanged for the game. The home side have Grant Sowerby returning and they will be hoping to gain the six points that they require to guarantee their safety in the Premier Division.

Guisborough had a dreadful weekend last week, losing to both Marske and Seaton Carew.

They need to dust themselves down and try and win at Middlesbrough as they are 34 points short of Hartlepool.

Boro are the draw specialists this season, with 11 out of their 20 matches played so far in this campaign ending without a result. The home side have Adil Ditta back in the side and only Sam Gaudie is missing, due to his rugby commitments.

Hartlepool make one change for their game at Marske. Ben Smith, 16, is recalled following his holidays and replaces Ollie Mole who is working.

Official Michael Gough snr said: “After last weekend’s two excellent performances, we are looking for a good result which could ensure our safety, but we do not underestimate Marske, who have several match winners in their side.”

Marske also make one change from last week, with Jack English coming in for Lewis Harper, who is unavailable. Skipper Lee Hodgson said: “After a very good Bank Holiday weekend where we won both games, we face Hartlepool this weekend in our last home game of the season and will be wanting another win on the board.”

Stokesley, in fifth place, entertain Barnard Castle in fourth place, with both teams coming up just short in the title race.

The home side are awaiting the availability of James Weighell from possible Durham commitments. “It will be another opportunity for one of our young talented players, to gain some experience is he’s missing,” remarked secretary Mark Smith.

Barney will be unchanged from last week’s defeat against Richmondshire, which put paid to their title retaining ambitions.

In Division One, Thornaby will be back in the Premier League if they can glean six points at Richmondshire. It could be a double celebration if they manage to get 10 points, as this would clinch them the title.

The race to join them is frantic, with only 17 points separating the next four clubs, who all have a great chance of promotion. Bishop Auckland, Saltburn, Billingham Synthonia and Darlington RA, are the four teams vying for the second promotion place, with just two games remaining in Division One.
