BROTHERS Graham and Jordan Clark will come face to face for the first time in a senior county match when Durham kick off their NatWest T20 Blast campaign at home to Lancashire this evening (6.30).

Although all-rounder Jordan played in Lancashire's four-run win at Emirates Riverside last season, his younger brother had lost his Durham place after batting at three in the first five games, which included a six-wicket win at Old Trafford.

Both have cemented their places this season, although Jordan missed the Royal London Cup clash at Chester-le-Street with a back injury.

They are from a strong cricketing family. Eldest brother Darren played for Cumberland and was on the winning side at Lord’s for Cleator in the final of the National Village Knockout in 2013 alongside father Ian.

Graham is a candidate to open the batting for Durham this evening under the captaincy of Paul Coughlin, who will have to do without an overseas player for the first two games.

The second is at home on Sunday afternoon to the Northamptonshire team who beat Durham in last year's final, but the Jets will have to win both games just to wipe out the four-point deficit cruelly handed down by the ECB.

After Sunday Durham have an 11-day break and it is hoped New Zealander Tom Latham will then be fit to slot in at the top of the order. He will bring some variety as the only left-hander in the squad, other than James Weighell, and can also keep wicket.

Once Latham is fit Stuart Poynter's place will be under threat, but the lack of batting options means he will have the gloves this evening to allow Michael Richardson to concentrate on his top order role with Clark and Jack Burnham.

All-rounder Usman Arshad will come in and Weighell will be in the squad after recovering from injury.

After earning an ECB accolade for the best family experience in English cricket after last year's Blast, Durham have added other attractions such as a batting simulator, where people can test their skills against any type of bowling.

There will be the usual entertainment such as the hot tub and fireworks, plus the post-match autograph signing session.
