DURHAM have brought Jack Burnham into their one-day squad for the first time for today's Royal London Cup tie at home to Nottinghamshire.

The England Under 19 batsman replaces Graham Clark for the 50-over day-night match, which starts at 2pm.

After making a promising start in the NatWest T20 Blast with scores of 32 and 36, Clark has totalled 49 runs in three T20 and three RLC innings.

As Durham are better suited to the longer version of one-day cricket they will be hoping there is no repeat of Sunday's curtailment in the defeat by Worcestershire.

The reduction to 22 overs was very similar to last season's quarter-final at Trent Bridge, in which Nottinghamshire totalled 170 for four in 24 overs and Durham were all out for 144 with Samit Patel taking four for 11.

Durham have already experienced difficulties this season against the left-arm spinner, who took three for 14 in the T20 match at Emirates Riverside.

An excellent display in the field still enabled them to win that game by 66 runs, but they lost their two subsequent T20 matches and have won one out of three in the 50-over competition.

After opening their RLC campaign by twice topping 400 in home games, Nottinghamshire now have a run of away fixtures because of Trent Bridge staging a one-day international against Sri Lanka.

Michael Lumb has been in sparkling form, clubbing 184 out of a total of 445 against Northants and 133 out of 415 against Warwickshire.

*Graham Clark's lack of form continued on the opening day of the Second X1 Championship match against Derbyshire at Darlington yesterday, when he was out for four.

The visitors were dismissed for 119, Adam Hickey mopping up the tail with three for seven, before Durham slipped to 79 for four.

But skipper James Weighell then dominated a stand of 118 with Newcastle-born academy boy Sameet Brar, who scored 40 before being run out. Weighell went on to make 86 as Durham reached 215 for six.
