AT LEAST six former Test players will be in the Lashings line-up for Durham’s Big Birthday Blast next month.

The celebration of the 20th year of cricket at the Emirates Durham ICG will feature ex-England players Devon Malcolm, Phil Defretitas, Owais Shah and Adam Hollioake, plus Australian batsman Marcus North and West Indian paceman Tino Best.

They will take on a team of Durham players and sporting personalities on Sunday, August 16, in a match which also marks the 20th anniversary of the County Durham Community Foundation.

There will also be family entertainment, including interval meet and greets from Peppa Pig and SpongeBob SquarePants, soft play and a mini funfair.

The event will raise funds for CDCF and the club’s academy ground, which will be available for community use.

Gates open at noon on the day, with the match starting at 3pm. Tables of ten for lunch are available for £500, when the Lashings players will mingle with guests.

Adult tickets costs £5, it's free for children and guests are asked to book online at www.durhamccc.co.uk or by calling the Box Office on 0844 499 4466.
