TRACKROD Rally Yorkshire organisers are promising an increase in cars, championships and spectator facilities for this year's rally on September 27-28.

At least 13 title races, including the MSA British Rally Championship (BRC), REIS Get Connected BTRDA Rally Series and the West Wales Rally Spares RAC Championship, are included in the 36th staging of the race, which features a number of stages in the North York Moors forests.

Friday, September 27 will see competitors taking on the challenge of Dalby at night, with the Historic Championship runners being closely followed by the modern, hitech BRC cars.

Two special spectator venues - a redesigned 'Woodyard' and 'Housedale' - will be located within the Dalby complex, and after an overnight halt, the cars will be supplemented by a bumper entry of BTRDA contestants for the Saturday stages, which will begin at 8.30am.

Action over the various Saturday stages will continue until around 6pm, with the event being orchestrated from Pickering's recently-refurbished Showground.

Pre-paid tickets have been held at 2012 prices, and clerk of the course, Rod Parkin, said: "The whole team is really looking forward to presenting a stunning field of rally cars including the best of International and Historic Car competitors.

"We are also delighted to welcome back the BTRDA Championship and hope that everyone will enjoy what should be a feast of action and the commitment that the famous Yorkshire stages demand."
