Gray the favourite as Quakers hold meeting with potential manager

IN LIGHT of the FA’s decision to demote Darlington four divisions, the club’s board held a meeting last night with the man expected to be named as their manager.

He has agreed in principle to become Quakers’ boss and has already arranged coaching staff, a scout and has lined up “seven or eight” players.

But before officially committing to the role, which shall be part-time, the new manager, who does not want to identified yet, wants reassurances over the budget available.

Martin Gray is the clear frontrunner for the position.
