DARLINGTON have made their fifth signing of the summer following the capture of Stockport County striker Adam Proudlock.
The 27-year-old becomes the third player to sign from County this week, following the arrivals of David Poole and Adam Griffin.
Quakers boss Dave Penney has already concluded deals for Jason Kennedy and Clayton Fortune and he today welcomed the signing of Proudlock.
"Adam will be a great addition to the squad," said Penney. "He is a goalscorer who has played at a higher level during his career.
"A lot of hard work is going on behind the scenes to make sure that we have a good squad in place.
"We may not have the biggest squad in the league but I believe we have brought in quality players who can do a good job for this club."
Proudlock started his career at Wolves, before going on to Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich Town. He made 20 appearances for County last season, scoring nine goals.
