In the North Yorkshire & South Durham ECB Premier League, Thornaby were 62-5 at home to Darlington, as Muhammad Saad with an excellent (5-42) and Oliver King (2-34) both claimed early wickets and they were eventually all out for 77.

In reply, the visitors had opener Liam Coates in good form, as he made 47 not out, to see his side to victory on 78-1.

Barnard Castle made a good start at home to Bishop Auckland, with openers Finn Usher scoring 74 and James Clarkson 58, putting on 135 runs for the first wicket. Karl Carver then added 42 not out in a final score of 221-7, with Steve Chapman taking 4-59. Bishops then lost both their openers without scoring, and then slumped to 11-5, as Carver with the ball claimed a brilliant 6-22 and they were all out for just 91.

Richmondshire took first knock at Middlesbrough and Gary Pratt scored a useful 48 and Steven Mather 36, as they totalled 191 all out, with Mohammed Asghar claiming an excellent 5-45. Boro were then set a revised target of 124 for victory, which they made for the loss of eight wickets, with a useful 42 runs from James Lowe, despite Josh Dowson and Jonny Carr sharing seven wickets between them.

Stockton made a solid start at home to Hartlepool, with opener Kevin Ward scoring 44, Adam Beaumont 30 and James Ward made 50 not out, in a total of 207-7, with Paul Braithwaite took 3-51. Pools then failed to capitalise on the league leaders drawing, by being bowled out for just 118, as veteran Leigh Beaumont claimed an impressive 7-29.

League leaders Saltburn were 28-3, at home to Stokesley, but Lucas Parry (46no) and Jason Erskine (29no), put on 73 runs together to get them up to 113-4, when the rain came and play was washed out.

Great Ayton made a dismal start at home to Darlington RA. They were reduced to 1-3, as ex-player Doug Mulholland took early wickets (3-24), but then Henry Shelton made 32 and they got up to 140 all out, with Adam Hickey claiming 4-45. The game was then abandoned as the rains came in.

In Division One, Norton lost the big game at home to second placed Marton, with the visitors Lee Hodgson scoring 138 and Sam Berry claiming 4-58, with both teams now on 239 points, but Marton have a game in hand.

Sedgefield in third place, gave their promotion hopes a boost, by winning at fourth placed Normanby Hall. Sam North with 51 not out and Grant Sowerby with 5-30, were their match winning heroes.
