IN OCTOBER of last year Thirsk & Northallerton Golf Club’s juniors played in the Junior Team Golf, Home Nations England Final at Clitheroe and qualified for the final in the Home Nations Inter-Club Championship in Portugal.
The team have now set off for six days of golf, 6-12 March, at the Morgado Golf and Country Club in the Algarve, with two practice rounds and four competition days.
Teams of six, from the squad of eight, will play in each of the competitions and there will also be competitions for the reserves. Seven members of the squad are seen and the eighth member is Blake Stout (not pictured).
The club is very proud of the team’s achievements and wish them well in their quest for the Nigel Dolton Trophy when playing against teams from England, Scotland and Wales. The event is to be televised on Sky Sports TV.
