JAMIE Bew from Northallerton was in action on his 110% Bikes enduro mountain bike at the recent Boltby Bash held last weekend at Boltby near Thirsk.

The event, in its second year of running, is growing in popularity and managed to fill the entry to capacity, attracting riders from the local area as well as further away including some of the fastest enduro riders at club and national level in the world.

The event format was to practice four out of the five stages on Saturday leaving the final stage blind for race day, just to add a bit more difficulty to the event. The stages included fast grass sections as well as rough tree roots and forest terrain whereby the five stage times were added together for a combined time, with the fastest overall taking the win.

Thank fully the weather held off and gave all competitors fabulous conditions leaving Bew to claim fourth overall in the Senior class as well as 110% Bikes team-mates Tom Needham from Catterick who took fourth in the Juniors and Richard Parker from Northallerton 14th in the Men’s class.
