n The Association for International Cancer Research is this year funding over #3m of projects in Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Dundee. One of its healthier cash-raising ideas is a day of fun runs at Chatelherault Country Park at Hamilton on April 19. Hamilton Volunteer Group AICR and Motherwell District Athletic Club have got together to organise a 2k fun run starting at 11am, followed by a 4k run. There will be fete stalls for those who don't feel up to donning their running shoes, and the only charge is a 50p parking fee and a #2 entry fee for the race. You are, however, asked to raise at least #20 in sponsorship money for AICR, or #35 for a family entry. Prizes will go to top finishers and top fundraisers.
