MIDDLESBROUGH goalkeeper Jason Steele has joined Blackburn Rovers on a season-long, while Aitor Karanka has brought in Chelsea’s England Under-19 keeper Jamal Blackman as his replacement.

Darlington and Stockton Times:

Steele was told he could leave after falling behind Tomas Mejias and Dimi Konstantopoulos in the pecking order at the Riverside and has moved to Ewood Park until the end of the season.

And Boro have moved quickly to replace the former England Under-21 keeper with Chelsea 20-year-old Blackman.
