MIDDLESBROUGH have confirmed the signing of Belgian striker Jelle Vossen on a season-long loan from Genk.
The deal is the Teessiders' second of deadline day, and follows hot on the heels of Yanic Wildschut's €800,000 arrival from Heerenveen.
Vossen's signing is a considerable coup for Boro, who have been tracking the Belgium international for the best part of 12 months and who had a succession of bids turned down for the forward last summer.
The 25-year-old scored 105 goals in his 244 appearances for Genk in Belgium's Jupiler League.
It will be interesting to see where Vossen fits into Aitor Karanka's plans, with Kike, Patrick Bamford and Lee Tomlin also on the books and no doubt expecting to feature in the starting line-up.
