BRADLEY FEWSTER and James Husband will make their Middlesbrough debuts in this evening's Capital One Cup first-round tie at Oldham Athletic.

Aitor Karanka has retained just five of the players that started last weekend's opening Championship fixture as Boro kick off their League Cup campaign at the newly-renamed Sports Direct.com Park.

Dimi Konstantopoulos replaces Tomas Mejias in goal, with Jonathan Woodgate returning to the heart of the back four with the captain's armband. Husband makes his debut at left-back, having completed a £750,000 move from Doncaster Rovers over the summer.

Emilio Nsue lines up on the right-hand side of Boro's attacking midfield trio, having made his debut off the substitutes' bench against Birmingham City, with Luke Williams expected to play in the 'number ten' role filled by Lee Tomlin four days ago.

Fewster, a Middlesbrough-born England under-18 international, makes his senior debut in attack, with both Tomlin and Kike left on the substitutes' bench.
