FREDDIE CORNER, 15, from Coverdale, North Yorkshire, was a member of the Radley College J15 rowing 1stXIII which won the Junior Colts Cup at the National Schools Regatta.
This took place over a 2000m course at the National Aquatic Centre, Nottingham.
Sixteen schools took part in the event, which was split up into qualifiers, semi-final and final. The Radley crew won their semi-final and then took part in the sixcrew final, beating Bedford School by a length after 2000m of hard rowing.
Freddie previously attended Aysgarth Preparatory School at Newton le Willows, North Yorkshire, and is following in the footsteps of one of their most famous pupils, Sir Matthew Pinsent, fourtimes Olympic rowing gold medallist.
