New Darlington signing Adam Mitchell goes straight into the squad for today’s game at Prescot Cables.
The youngster, who signed for Quakers yesterday, can play up front or on the wing and has joined for the rest of the season from Sunderland, where he has been since 2010.
Having broken into the Black Cats’ reserve side during the 2011-12 season, he made his only appearance for the first team in the final match of last season when he came off the bench against Tottenham Hotspur.
Mitchell played against Darlington in a pre-season friendly last summer and is the elder brother of David, the Darlington youth team player that has been a substitute in recent games.
He becomes Quakers’ second signing in as many weeks with Lewis Wing having arrived from Seaham Red Star last Friday.
