MIDDLESBROUGH have signed Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah on loan, the Championship club have announced.

Chalobah ended his spell at Nottingham Forest on Wednesday and the England under-21 international has made Middlesbrough his next destination, signing on loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old is no stranger to the Championship with 12 appearances for Forest under his belt this season, having played for Watford last year. He is a player who Boro have courted since that spell, with previous manager Tony Mowbray coming close to signing him over the summer.

The deal has been concluded in time for him to be available to face the Latics at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday.

Dukes says...

I hope he bring the form he had at Watford in this team. Now we need is front player who is a goal scorer.
