Carayol extends Boro's unbeaten run
Full-time: Middlesbrough 1 Sheffield Wednesday 1
A PREDATORY finish from Mustapha Carayol sealed a point for Middlesbrough and extended their recent unbeaten run to four matches.
Carayol was on hand inside the six yard box to turn a Lukas Jutkiewicz centre over the line from inside six yards to cancel out Michail Antonio's 34th minute opener.
The Owls had taken the lead when the lively Antonio – who had a late chance to win it – hooked a Reda Johnson knock down over the line and beyond Jason Steele.
Before that Middlesbrough had looked dangerous and then after the restart Middlesbrough took control and grabbed an equaliser.
The winger's first since April, teed up by the impressive Jutkiewicz, could have been followed by more with a number of chances created.
But Middlesbrough were unable to finish things off and had to settle for a point, although Wednesday could have hit a winner in stoppage time when Steele had to deny Antonio again.
