Ex-Pools stopper back in the North-East

DIMI KONSTANTOPOULOS, the former Hartlepool United goalkeeper, has signed a short-term deal with Middlesbrough.
The Greek international left AEK Athens when the club suffered financial difficulties last season and has returned to the North-East, after leaving Pools in 2007.
Now 34, Konstantopoulos, appeared 117 times for Pools from 2003 to 2007 - his heroics in the play-off semi-final at Tranmere earned Pools a spot in the League One final at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium - and he left on a free for Coventry.
Konstantopoulos has played Champions League football with AEK and has been signed with Jason Steele suffering from an ankle injuy.
