A TOTAL of 103 entries have been received for the Cleveland Hunt Point-to Point at Morden tomorrow.

Racing starts with the Hunt Members raceat 1.30 pm which looks to be a very competitive affair.

Minstalad has been running well in Opens for the Sutcliffe family. Lem Putt hasn’t quite recaptured his form of last year but if he has improved since his last run could be the big danger.

The first maiden race is run over the minimum distance of 2m4f. Apassion for fashion’s only form has come over this shorter trip and but will need to improve to be in the frame.

Brer probably has the most racecourse experience of all the entrants, however it would be no surprise to see a winner come from the Dawson yard who can get them ready first time out and love to have winners at their local course.

The Ladies Open has received 14 entries and Kandelin, who didn’t settle when dropped in at the Bedale meeting on Saturday is likely to be the pacemaker, however former Royal Ascot winner Pevensey, under leading female rider Jacqueline Coward, can land the spoils.

In the men’s equivalent, Scrum V should improve on his recent Whitcliffe Grange running, however Theatre Dance and Fred Bethell could be the main danger.

The Restricted race has got 13 entries. Inappropriate Man won his maiden at Whitwell in convincing style and will appreciate the easy three miles so can score again, however, Rosie Du Berlais has been running really well at this level without quite getting her head in front and this could be the day.

The PPORA Club Members race is run over the extended distance of 3m5f.

Apache Brave ran an excellent race at the Derwent meeting and will appreciate the extended distance, however, Ramborob made all the running in the Grimthorpe Gold Cup until fading two from home and this distance looks like it will be right up his street.

Racing finishes with a final Open Maiden and Never Forget Poppy can take this.
