Keltie to leave Quakers

Clark Keltie is to be released by Darlington after failing to make a significant impact during his brief return to the club.

After joining as a free agent in October, the midfielder made nine appearances, most as a substitute, but manager Martin Gray has decided to cut short Keltie's third spell with Quakers and he is expected to join another club in the Ebac Northern League.

Having made the 29-year-old an unsuccessful offer when he signed for Quakers, Carlisle-based Celtic Nation want him, though Gray has not ruled out re-signing Keltie should he impress at his next club.

Keltie's exit is Quakers' second of the week as Gray has also released Jack Norton, but the manager has brought in keeper Mark Bell.

Darlington are next in action on Saturday at Durham City.

I would like to wish Clark all the best for the future, but he just hasnt looked comfortable, or seemed to fit in since he came back this time.
