WE all face the possibility of one day needing to go into a care home, for various reasons, as we all know the NHS is struggling and something new needs to happen.

How about a new tax just for care homes which could be collected just like the BBC licence fee, separate from the NHS, and pay throughout our lifetime? This I think would be fairer to everyone.

Personally, I would like the government to stop the BBC licence fee and use this collection of money to fund care homes, but I think this may be too controversial.

Maybe a debate?
