Sir, – Once again, Ms S Crookes of Bainbridge provides us with an insight into her bigoted and ignorant attitude toward her fellow members of society.

Following the tragic loss of two people who happened to be riding motorcycles, all she can do is bemoan the inconvenience of a road closure and state her apparent gratitude that it was “bikers” rather than “innocent road users” who were killed.

The circumstances relating to this accident have not yet been released.

Nor indeed has that of the death of another motorcyclist who died that day after being hit by a car, the driver of which was subsequently charged with causing the death of the rider.

Sadly, but entirely predictably, Ms Crookes failed to mention that incident or the many other examples of riders being victims at the hands of her perceived “innocent road users”.

Motorcyclists are no more saintly than any other group of road users, but neither should they be the target of such sickeningly ignorant attitudes as exemplified by Ms Crookes.
