Sir, - Last Saturday, my wife and I had the best evening we have had for many years, from 6pm until 10.30pm.
The folk band outside the Black Bull at Reeth was fantastic.
A girls’ hen night party was there and danced outside, other locals and visitors joined in, and there were no problems at all, just a great family evening.
If that is a prelude to the Swaledale Festival, then we are in for a great time. Long may it last.
