Sir, – I am one of the nurses in the From the Archive (D&S Weekend, April 12), I’m the Wham groupie look-alike second from back row right in the middle. Kim Johnston was my maiden name.I married a boy who lived in Northallerton and I worked at the Friarage hospital from when I qualified until 2000. Then I went to live in Sweden for two years with my family but returned and started work at Mowbray House surgery in Northallerton were I am still.
I still know some of the girls from that group. Joy Syson is the nurse first row, first left. Now Joy Parrington, she works as a Macmillan nurse at the Friarage. It was a wonderful blast from the past seeing the picture.
