A CYCLING chicken will be helping to raise funds for Yorkshire Air Ambulance during the Tour de France.

James Potter Yorkshire Free Range Eggs will be donating 5p to the YAA for every pack of six large eggs sold during the event in recognition of the vital role the air ambulance could have during the event.

The Potter family have created limited edition boxes featuring a sporty hen on a racing bike with the words Pottering around Yorkshire. The boxes, which will carry YAA’s logo as well as details of the enhanced donation, will be in regional stores of Sainsbury’s, Asda and Tesco and Tesco Express for five weeks until July 28.

James Potter Yorkshire Free Range Eggs has been donating 1p from every dozen eggs sold to the YAA for more than a year. So far it has raised more than £22,000 for the charity.

Send us pictures of the celebrations as the Tour passes through your town or village on July 5 and 6.
