Queen to visit the 150th Great Yorkshire
THE Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will visit the 150th Great Yorkshire Show this year.
It will be her fourth visit to the show and will be on Thursday, July 10, the last day of the three-day event.
Bill Cowling, honorary show director, said: It is a great honour to welcome royal visitors to the showground and we look forward to the Queen seeing how the show has developed since her last trip to Harrogate.
The last royal visit was in 2006, when the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall attended.
The Queen had previously attended in 1952, as Princess Elizabeth, 1957 and in her silver jubilee year of 1977.
