A SUMMER season of fun awaits youngsters at the World of James Herriot with special animal days being held.
The Thirsk-based centre has a programme of activities for children over the school holidays.
There is Aquatic Finatic on July 30 when a team from Aquatic Finatic, in Northallerton, will take unusual creatures to the centre.
Then on August 6 the Blue Cross is to run a session in the Kirkgate building on pets and how to look after them.
Falconry UK pays a visit on August 6 along with some of its birds and then a session on bats is being held on August 20.
All of the sessions run from 2pm to 2.30pm and entry is £5 to each. They are suitable for children aged six and above.
Any child aged eight and under must be accompanied by an adult and to book a place call 01845-524234.
There is also creative craft sessions at the World of James Herriot every Tuesday from 1pm to 4pm from July 28 to August 25.
Normal entry fees of £5.75 for an adult, concessions £4.50, children £4 and under-fives free, apply for these craft sessions.
