RESIDENTS in Richmondshire can now download to their council’s newspaper as a podcast.
Richmondshire District Council has become one of only 12 authorities in the country to make its newspaper, The Curlew, available online.
The move means anyone with a personal computer can download an audio version of the twice-yearly publication, to listen to on iPods and other MP3 players.
Tom Stirling, the council’s communications manager, said: “Once again Richmond and Dales Talking Newspaper have done an outstanding job creating the audio version of The Curlew, and we want to make their work as widely available as possible.
“Copies are available on tape or CD from our Community Offices, and also now via our pioneering council podcast.”
With Apple’s iTunes software, search for the word “richmondshire” in the iTunes Store and subscribe to The Curlew podcast.
