BARNARD Castle School sixth formers enjoyed the end of their school days with a glittering ball to remember.
Big School and the dining room became the setting for students to share an emotional celebration with parents, friends and staff.
Pipers welcomed guests to the annual event, which for many marked the end of a 14-year association with the school.
Headmaster Alan Stevens said: “The ball is the culmination of so many happy years at Barnard Castle School and we are delighted to give them such a splendid send-off.
“As they embark on the next chapter of their lives, I’m sure they will stay in touch and, perhaps, one day return as parents of Barnard Castle School pupils.”
