A NEWLY refurbished nursery with links to an outstanding-rated facility in Darlington is holding an open day next week.
Bishopton Redmarshall CE Primary School is opening an early years foundation stage nursery in January 2016 after making extensive renovations to the existing nursery classroom.
To celebrate the refurbishment, an open day is taking place on November 10 where parents and carers of young children of nursery age or below can see the facilities and meet the teaching staff.
The new-look nursery will form part of the Federation of Bishopton Redmarshall and Heighington CE Primary Schools who also work in partnership with the George Dent Nursery School in Darlington.
George Dent’s leadership team were rated outstanding by Ofsted in six consecutive inspections and they will be working closely with Bishopton Redmarshall.
The nursery will initially provide childcare for around 12 children and will have the scope to provide further places in the future.
It will welcome children from the term after their third birthday when they qualify for 15 hours of funded childcare.
