PARENTS of final year primary school pupils have until the end of the month to apply for a place at secondary school.
The final date for applications is Saturday, October 31 and parents and carers have been warned that any late submissions will not be processed until places have been allocated to those who applied in time.
Cllr Ann McCoy, Stockton Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Young People, said: “A late application runs the risk of your child missing out on a place at one of your preferred schools. As such, I encourage parents and carers to make full use of their opportunity to apply for up to three schools across Stockton borough.”
Stockton council receives more than 2,000 applications per year for a secondary school place. The easiest way to submit an application is via the online form which is available at www.stockton.gov.uk/schooladmissions
