A series of free interactive workshops and one-to-one business mentoring sessions are being offered to Ryedale businesses. The workshops are run by Ryedale District Council in partnership with Science City York (SCY). The workshops are available to certain types of businesses and will be held at Ryedale House in Malton. There will be a workshop on developing long and short term business on February 13, on decision-making on February 25 and finances on March 8. HISTORY TALK: Archaeologist and author Gillian Hovell will be giving a talk entitled the Muddy History of Britain at the Galtres Centre in Easingwold on Friday, February 8 at 7.30pm. ROYAL SALUTE: A 21-Gun Royal Salute is to be held in the Museum Gardens in York on Wednesday (February 6) to mark the 61st anniversary of the Queen’s accession to the throne.
