A WIDE-ranging survey on waste, recycling and street cleaning is being launched this week.

Richmondshire District Council is asking households to tell them how satisfied they are with services the authority provides.

They are being asked about household and garden waste collections, litter collection, dog waste bins, flytipping, street cleaning, recycling and assisted collections.

Officers also want to hear views on the recent new additions to the recycling scheme – white and grey card is now taken in the blue kerbside bags.

The information will be compared with results from previous surveys to see how happy people are with the service provided – and what improvements they would like to see.

The survey is being delivered to 6,000 random homes in Richmond, Leyburn, Colburn, Brompton on Swale, Scorton, Catterick Village, Barton, Middleton Tyas, Melsonby, Middleham, Hawes, Reeth and North Cowton.

It can also be completed via richmondshire.gov.uk/wastesurvey.aspx and copies can be collected from the council’s community offices in Richmond, Reeth, Leyburn, Hawes and Colburn.

Surveys must be completed and returned by July 26 – and will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a £100 gift voucher.
