Photographer Charles Twist has created a new series of prints which goes on show at the Palace Hub Gallery in Redcar inspired by woodland in east Cleveland.

The images are part of a group ‘New Year’ exhibition which runs from Sunday, February 2 to Sunday, March 30, at the Palace Hub Gallery in Redcar.

The gallery is work from new and established local artists using mediums including photography and textiles.

The gallery is ope from 10am to 4pm, closed on Thursdays closed and open Sundays from noon to 4pm with free entry.

OPEN EVENING: School leavers and people wanting to improve their job prospects are invited to an open evening at Redcar & Cleveland College, on Corporation Road in Redcar on Wednesday, February 5, from 5pm to 8pm. They can take a tour of the college facilities, speak to tutors and students, and even have a go at a variety of skills from bricklaying and carpentry to robotics and nail art.

HISTORY TALK: A series of free talks will give an insight into Middlesbrough’s history and heritage starting with 'food and manners in medieval England', a historical talk by the Rosa Mundi group on Sunday, February 16, from 2pm to 4pm, at Langdon Square Community Centre. The talks are being hosted by the Friends of Fairy Dell park as part of the group’s Pathways to the Past project which last year won funding from the Heritage Lottery fund.
