CIVIC-minded people interested in representing the views of others in Stockton can find out how at a free event next week.

‘Make a difference – be a councillor’ will take place at 5pm on Thursday, March 27 in Stockton Town Hall.

SKILLS FAIR: A chance for people in Hartlepool to find out more about the training opportunities available to help get a job is being held at a Skills and Training Fair in the town on Friday, March 21 in the Grand Hotel in Swainson Street from 10am to 3pm. The free event is being organised by and entry is free. It’s organised by the National Careers Service in partnership with Hartlepool Borough Council.

FAMILY FUN: A family fun day for disabled children and their families in Hartlepool is being held on Saturday, March 29, at the Visitor Centre at the town’s Summerhill countryside park from 10am to 2pm. Among the activities which could be held are boccia, kurling, multi-sports, walking, den-building, cake decorating and arts and crafts.
