TIME is running out for people to give their views on a new proposed blueprint for tackling crime and improving community safety in Hartlepool over the next three years.
The plan has been drawn up by the Safer Hartlepool Partnership and outlines the strategic objectives to tackle the problems.
Over the next three years the plan is to reduce crime and repeat victimisation; create confident, cohesive and safe communities; reduce the harm caused by drug and alcohol misuse and reduce offending and re-offending.
Councillor Christopher Akers-Belcher, chairman of the Partnership, said: “I am confident that the plan we are proposing for the next three years will enable us to maintain that momentum, but it’s vital that as many townspeople as possible have a look at it and tell us if they feel it’s the right way forward.”
People can view the plan and leave comments on it by clicking on the link on the home page of the Partnership’s website at www.saferhartlepool.co.uk Alternatively, paper copies of the plan can be viewed, and comments can be left, at the Central Library.
The last day for receipt of comments on it is Sunday, February 23.
